Cusply Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 20, 2026
Cusply does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. All your bookmarks are stored locally on your device.
What Cusply Does
Cusply is a Chrome browser extension that helps you organize and manage bookmarks. It stores bookmarks, folders, and your preferences entirely within your browser's local storage.
Data Storage
All data is stored locally using the Chrome Extension Storage API (chrome.storage.local). This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it.
- Bookmarks and folders — stored locally on your device
- User preferences (theme, sort order) — stored locally
- Usage statistics (click counts, last used) — stored locally, never transmitted
Permissions Used
- storage / unlimitedStorage — save bookmarks and preferences locally
- tabs — detect current page URL when adding bookmarks
- bookmarks — import from browser's built-in bookmark manager
- contextMenus — right-click menu for quick bookmark saving
- sidePanel — display in Chrome's side panel
- notifications — show confirmation messages
Network Requests
- Favicon loading — fetches website icons from Google's favicon service. Only the domain name is sent.
- Premium payments — processed through ExtensionPay. Cusply does not handle payment information.
- URL validation — Scan & Clean checks if bookmark URLs are reachable. No personal data is sent.
Data We Do NOT Collect
- No personal information (name, email, address)
- No browsing history or behavior
- No analytics or tracking
- No cookies for tracking
- No data shared with third parties for advertising
Data Export and Deletion
Export all data anytime as JSON. To delete all data, uninstall the extension — Chrome automatically removes all local storage.
Children's Privacy
Cusply does not collect information from any user, including children under 13.
